Pizza Pull Apart Bread

This is an incredible recipe!  Perfect for parties.
This is courtesy of my Uncle Mitch in Michigan

1/3 cup favorite flavored dipping oil (I just used olive oil)
2 teaspoons garlic powder
2 (16 ounce) pkgs pre-made pizza dough or homemade pizza dough
1 (7 oz) pkg sliced pepperoni
1 (8 oz) pkg shredded mozzarella cheese

Directions
1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees F
2. Separate pizza dough into small bite sized pieces.
3. In a bowl add your favorite flavored dipping oil. Toss dough pieces in dipping oil to lightly coat.
4. Layer dough pieces in bottom of bundt or fluted tube pan, next layer sliced pepperoni, shredded cheese and sprinkle with garlic powder. (I also added some dried oregano)
Repeat layers again, and end with final layer of dough pieces.
5. Bake in the preheated oven until the bread is browned and cooked through in the center, 30-40 min
6. Remove from oven, and invert the pan on a cutting board; the bread will fall out of the pan in one piece.
7. Serve by pulling the bread apart into individual servings with optional marinara dipping sauce on the side.

Rosemary Potato Pizza

As you've probably gathered, Friday night is pizza night at our house and I love trying new pizza ideas. With some potatoes on hand, this beauty was born:
pizza dough
1/2 russet potato, peeled and sliced very thinly
1/4
red onion sliced
3 garlic cloves pressed
1 tsp. dried rosemary
1/4 c. grated mozzarella cheese
1/4 c. grated gruyere cheese
Sautee the red onions slowly in a pan with a little olive oil and a touch of butter. Once onions are soft, add about 1 tsp. sugar and caramelize.
Roll out the pizza dough and bake for 4 minutes in a 500 degree oven. Remove from
oven and brush with olive oil and spread pressed garlic on top. Sprinkle the mozzarella over the pizza dough. Place the potato slices all over the top of the dough so it is covered completely. Sprinkle the gruyere and rosemary over the top, finish with the caramelized red onions. Bake at 500 for another 7-8 minutes. It's a winner!

Roasted Butternut Squash Pizza

I had this amazing pizza at a restaurant and I had to try to recreate it!
Ingredients:
2 cups cubed butternut squash
1/2 sweet onion cut into rings
pizza dough
2-3 Tbsp. butter (more for roasting the squash)
2 Tbsp. brown sugar
1 tsp. sugar
1 tsp. olive oil
ground sage
2-3 Tbsp. balsamic vinegar
1/2 cup mozzarella cheese

Toss the butternut squash in some butter, brown sugar and sea salt. Roast at 425 for about 25 minutes or until tender and brown. In a small pan, slowly cook the onions with salt pepper, a dash of olive oil and some butter (just a smige!). Cook slowly to caramelize. Once the onions start to brown slightly, lightly sprinkle with some sugar. Continue to cook down the onions and at the end add a splash of balsamic vinegar. Set aside. In a small sauce pan heat the butter over medium heat and continue to cook util the butter starts to brown. Set aside.
Roll out pizza dough, brush with the brown butter, put on the balsamic vinegar and cheese. Top with roasted butternut squash, caramelized onions and sprinkle with the sage. Bake at 475 for about 9 minutes and enjoy!

Blueberry Pizza

You've probably gathered by now that we eat a lot of pizza around here! Friday night is pizza night at our home and with the dough I've started experimenting and having a lot of fun. With our leftover dough on Friday I decided to make a little dessert.
Roll out the dough, of course I used my favorite recipe, brush with butter, sprinkle with some cinnamon and sugar and scatter fresh fruit on top. I used fresh blueberries, and bake a little less time than your dinner pizza. Serve with some vanilla ice cream and enjoy! It honestly blew my mind at how delicious, and easy it was!!

Chive Scrambled Egg Pizza

Pizza dough (here is my favorite)
2 eggs (per individual pizza)
Chopped chives
Butter for the skillet
S&p
White cheddar gruyere cheese

Portion out your pizza dough into individual small pizzas. Roll into small circles and brush with olive oil and bake according to your dough’s directions, less 2 minutes. Take the crust out, flatten any bubbles that may have risen up. Scramble up 2 eggs with chives and s&p in a lightly buttered skillet. Slightly undercook the eggs. Place eggs on top of pizza crust and top with shredded white cheddar gruyere cheese and return to the oven for about 2 more minutes. Delicious!

Thinly sliced white onion

Cracked black pepper
Fresh basil

Roll out your favorite pizza dough, brush with olive oil. Spread on the pressed garlic cloves. Add the shredded mozzarella cheese and top with the fresh veggies and bake as your dough directs. Out of the oven grate fresh parmesan cheese on top, add freshly cracked black pepper and julienned basil. A delicious Friday night spring meal!

Pizza Pinwheels

Lay out pastry dough and sprinkle with grated cheese, pepperoni and any other pizza toppings you'd like.  Roll up and cut into 1 inch wheels.  Bake until golden.  Serve with a dish of hot pizza sauce for dipping.

BBQ Chicken Pizza

Such a fun variation on regular pizza!
Make homemade dough or get some already made from Trader Joes. Use BBQ sauce instead of pizza sauce and top with cooked chicken, slivered red onion, motzarella cheese, and the kicker is fresh cilantro! Bake on a cookie sheet with corn meal scattered on it to keep the pizza from sticking, on the bottom rack of your oven at 500 degrees for about 10 minutes.

Candy Corn Pizza

This is a cute idea I saw here!
take your favorite pizza crust, add a little bit of sauce, then sprinkle shredded white mozarella cheese in the center.  Then sprinkle shredded orange cheddar cheese around the mozarella.  Bake until crust is golden.  When you cut the pizza into slices, it looks like a candy corn!
(you have to scroll down a bit to get to the pizza – enjoy!)

Lyric's Chicken 2 Ways

I love my friend Lyric and am so sad that she moved across the country so I can’t benefit from her culinary genius as often!
Buy a rotisserie chicken and pick it clean. Split it in half. One night, make it into a BBQ chicken pizza (I make my dough and actually cook it in just a few minutes on my stone out on the grill, then put toppings on and finish it in the oven). The second night, put the remainder of the chicken into this Ina recipe Orzo with Roasted Vegetables.
It's HEAVENLY, makes an abundance and is loved by all, even the little guys learning to eat.

Pizza

Homemade Pizza is much easier than it sounds! Get the kids involved and let them top their own. You’ll be surprised what they’ll eat when they make it themselves! Try zucchini, olives, mushrooms, pepperoni, ham, pineapple – you name it!
I love to buy my dough for $1.50 from our local Italian Deli, but Tyler Florence has a great recipe that I’ve used many times as well! Here is Tyler's Recipe
